Welcome to Sproston
The Parish of Sproston lying in the lovely Cheshire countryside, is predominately agricultural in nature, owner occupied farming being the main employment of its inhabitants. Therefore geographically it covers a large area of countryside, however it has a very small population
The Hamlet itself is situated just West of the M6 junction 18, the main populous living on the South side of the busy A54 trunk road leading to to the Roman town of Middlewich.
Not having a church, village hall, or shop it still has an excellent public house. The Parish Council consisting of five Parish Councillors and a Clerk hold at least four meetings a year at the Holmes Chapel Shooting ground on Broad Lane.
