I am 50 years old. I was born in Congleton and lived on Twemlow Lane Cranage until 1984 when we moved to Sproston to Primrose Farm after my mother married Mr Clifford Norbury.
We have worked at the farm until we left school and went to Youngs Animal Feeds. Then to a farm job in Sandbach. Coming back to Primrose Farm when I was 21. We worked here until 2003 when I went to an Agricultural Engineers covering the whole of the UK.
I have come home again to Primrose Farm and we are renovating the old house so that we can have a new home here. We now have the Shooting Ground and a livery yard at the Farm.
My hobbies are clay pigeon shooting and I also help my wife with the horse. We have one son who is 12
I came to Primrose Farm when I married Mr Clifford Norbury in 1984
In 1985 I took the position as clerk to the Parish Meeting. In 1987 I became the Chair of Parish Meeting for many years, intermittently, before we became a Parish Council. I have served as Chairwoman on many occasions over the years since.
I have worked to try to prevent many large planning schemes which would be detrimental to Sproston as we know it and will continue to do so.
I have lived in Sproston for just over 38 years with my wife Frances. I grew up in Yorkshire and have worked and lived in various parts of England and abroad. I was keen to join the Parish Council to do more for the local community where I live.
I am currently employed in local government as a Historic Building Conservation Officer and am aware of the immense change taking place within the planning system both nationally and locally.
My interests include travelling and walking.
I was born in Sproston and have lived and worked here all my life helping my family run Dairy House Farm. We now have some 200+ head of Fresian cows which have to be milked twice a day.
Following my Father I have been a Councillor since the inauguration of the Parish Council, from knowledge gained from him I have an in depth understanding of planning laws which I hope have been useful to the council. I hope to stay on the council for many more years.
My other interest, when time permits, are judging cattle at shows, trying to improve the farm and the welfare of my animals and doing my best for our village.
I have lived in Sproston for just over 12 years with my husband Rick. My husband and I grew up in Derbyshire and through work lived in various parts of England and Wales. I was keen to join the Parish Council to do more for the local community where I live.
I am currently employed in local government and aware of the immense change taking place locally and regionally through key agendas such as devolution and the immense pressure on budgets and resources on services such as NHS and social care.
When relaxing my interests include travelling, cycling, rugby union, gardening, performing arts and photography
