Policing Report January 2026

Here’s the policing report from PCSO Phil Hambleton who covers Shakerley Ward for issues raised in the parish. There were no crimes reported in Sproston.

Police Reports

Burglary

  • One attempted Burglary reported, the front gates to the property were forced open with offenders attempting to take two large plant pots.

Road Safety

    null
  • One Speed Enforcement session carried out on Holmes Chapel Road with 1 offence being captured and reported.
  • Vehicle stopped on Holmes Chapel Road, enquiries established that the vehicle was a clone, and the driver arrested.

Weekly PCSO surgeries

Thursday 5th February, between 4pm – 5pm.

Hulme Lane, Lower Peover, WA16 9QE. A Police vehicle to be parked near to the shop.

Wednesday 11th February, Between 1pm – 2pm.

Lach Dennis Village Hall, Holmes Chapel Road, a Police vehicle will be parked on the car park.

Tuesday 17th February, between 2pm – 3pm.

Princess Road, Allostock, WA16 9LQ. A police vehicle will be parked near to the play area.

Wednesday 4th March, between 10am – 11am.

Costa Coffee, Lostock Gralam, CW9 7UA.

Wednesday 11th March, between 1pm – 2pm.

Hulme Lane, Lower Peover, WA16 9QE. A Police vehicle to be parked near to the shop.
